Benjamin started his career working for a family office in Houston where he was an investment analyst and had the opportunity to lead due diligence on commercial real estate assets and improve their commercial real estate holdings infrastructure. He also worked with a number of their investments in biotech entities doing business development and raising capital.
After his stint at the family office he went on to work at various startups. One of which was called Heal, which was a tech enabled primary care doctor service where he brought in over $400,000 in revenue his first year; and helped play a critical role in developing the outbound sales initiatives and led sales trainings. During his term he broughtin over 431 new patients.
After his stint in health-tech sales, he worked as an enterprise account executive at Aryeo where he sourced and brought on board the largest real estate media companies in North America and Australia. Aryeo was successfully acquired by Zillow, where he stayed on continuing helping scale real estate media companies.
Michael is a veteran Naval Officer and a 20+ year insights executive who has been building and leading competitive and market intelligence teams for over 2 decades, with MI and CI leadership positions at Bank of America, Thomson Reuters, SABIC, and Cabot Corp to name a few. As an accomplished speaker and trainer, I leveraged my years of experience creating CI (and counter-CI) programs, learning new competitive landscapes, forecasting competitor moves, developing mitigation and capitalization strategies. A long-time expert with primary and secondary collection techniques and analytical tools, I also authored, with John McGonagle, an authoritative work on the changing landscape in CI. Michael is currently an an Advisor at Odins Eye Intelligence, a competitive intelligence agency.
